Subjects dealt with The Committee deals with several topical questions, including: the establishment of a national documentation and information centre on women and children; the Protocol to the African Charter on Human and Peoples' Rights relating to Women's rights. In 2015, the Committee proposed some amendments to the bill instituting gender quotas to promote women's access to nominative and elective offices, amendments that were adopted by the National Assembly.
